Born on August 25, 1970, in Dusseldorf, Germany, Claudia is a supermodel
of international recognition. Claudia was raised in Dusseldorf to a
homemaker mom and lawyer dad. As a child growing up, Claudia did not
wish to become a model, but rather an attorney and work in her father's
successful law firm.
Claudia's modeling career started in 1987, when she was discovered in a German discotheque while still a student. She has taken the term supermodel to a new dimension gracing the covers of hundreds of magazines. Claudia has also been featured on the cover of Time Magazine and was the first model ever to be featured on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine's "10 Most Beautiful Women". She was also named one of People Magazine's "25 Most Beautiful People".
Claudia has strutted the runways for all the top designers and has been featured in advertisements for Chanel, Versace, Valentino and Ralph Lauren, and many others. She is the first and only model to have her wax likeness in the Grevin Museum in Paris. Claudia has also published two books - a pictorial entitled "Memories" and a black & white coffee table book photographed by designer Karl Lagerfeld.
Claudia also created a series of exercise videos with her personal trainer Kathy Kaehler, "Claudia Schiffer's Perfectly Fit" in a four part series. She also had a 4 year Revlon contract worth $6 million, where she had to work 30 days each year for Revlon. She posed nude with Sylvester Stallone for Gianni Versace's china collection, a very interesting piece of work. With a very hectic work schedule, Claudia makes her home on Monaco.
